I read Frogs, because I am interested in animals since I read Polar bears and Monkeys. I was able to know about frogs. Especially, I was surprised that frogs don't drink water. All frogs need water to stay alive. But they don't drink it. And each week, they change their skin. They wiggle and jiggle out of the old one. Underneath, there's a new one all slimy and wet.
Frogs live all over the world. There are frogs in deserts, rainforests and the other places. I know first time that all frogs eat bugs. And I was surprised that frogs have tricks to get away. Some animals eat frogs. One frog sees a bird coming. It blows up bigger and bigger and bigger. They bird is too scared to eat it and flies away.
My favorite line is "The largest frog is as big as a cat." (Courtauld, 2007, p. 17) When I was a child, I have seen big frog in the river near my house. It was about 30 cm. But I knew bigger one than it. Frogs come in lots of sizes. The smallest frog is as tiny as a raindrop. I want to see both.
