Foreign countries

I have been to Hawaii when I was 3 years old. I want to go there again. I'm going to America as a trainee next year. I want to talk with American students and study English more. Essay 1-02b: Basketball

I searched basketball, I love basketball. How I found the sites; search for history of basketball, NBA, Michael Jordan, SLAM DUNK. Though I had been playing basketball for a long time, I didn't know about history of basketball. And, I want to know more about NBA and Michael Jordan. I also love SLAM DUNK. I have read it many times. So, I chose them.



At first, I searched history of basketball. I don't know about it. Do you know? If you know about it, you are a very lover of basketball! Basketball was invented years ago by an American named James Naismith. Dr. Naismith, who was a YMCA physical education teacher. His students played football and soccer all during the Fall season. But now winter was coming, and it would be too cold to play outside. after much thinking, he came up with a great idea for an indoor game. That sport connected basketball! James Naismith is called "Father of basketball"!!



Second, I searched NBA. NBA stands for National Basketball Association. NBA is the pre-eminent men's professional basketball league in North America which composes thirty 30 franchised member clubs, of which twenty-nine are located in the United States and one in Canada. NBA was founded in 1946. There are famous NBA player. One of them is Michael Jordan. I think that no one don't know him. By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. His nickname is "Air Jordan", because he was endowed incomparable locomotive power. He won five-time MVP. He is "Got of basketball"!!!



Third I searched SLAM DUNK. SLAM DUNK is a sports-themed comic series written by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shōhoku High School. SLAM DUNK centers around Hanamichi Sakuragi, who starts as a delinquent outcast, becoming the leader of a gang. Hanamichi, being very unpopular with girls, has been rejected by them fifty times. Yet, he finds out that Haruko Akagi is the girl of his dreams, and is happy when she's not scared of him like all the other girls he has asked out. Other main characters are Kaede Rukawa, Takehiko Akagi, Hisashi Mitsui, Ryouta Miyagi and Anzai-sensei. Kaede Rukawa is so cool! So he is in favor with girls. And he is Hanamichi's rival, and he is wonderful basket player. Takehiko Akagi looks like gorilla. ha ha He is powerful but very shy. He is a very good center and captain! Hisashi Mitsui is a good 3 point shooter, and MVP when he was a junior high school student. He injured his leg, collapsed, and he became Yankee. But he want to play again, he strive to win. Ryouta Miyagi is a very good point guard. He is short but his pass is very quick. He loves a manager of basketball club. Anzai-sensei is a coach. He was scared almost everyone before. But he becomes very gentle!He is mysterious!



Finally I recommend you basketball! The appeal of basketball is that the game's development is speed and high score. The court of basketball is not so big, and offense and defense's change is quick. So, the game of basketball makes spectators very excited!! You'll enjoy not only playing basketball but also watching basketball on TV or live. There are many dunk shots in NBA. They are exciting! And I want you to read SLAM DUNK! It is very interesting and you can know about rules of basketball. Even if you don't like basketball, I want you to interest in it! Basketball is a very, very wonderful sport!!!

BR 1-09: The Three Wishes

I read The Three Wishes, because its book cover's picture is cute! The main characters are husband and wife whose names are Ned and Net, who were always very hungry. Ned worked in the fields. One day, he helped a fairy. "Thank you. Have three wishes," said the fairy. Ned ran home, and he said to Net about it. "Ooh!" said Net. "I wish for..." "A sausage!" said Ned, because he was very hungry. Net was surprised at Ned's wish, and Net said to Ned "You fool!" Ned was cross. "I wish the sausage was on the end of your nose!" And Net's nose became sausage!! Net was very, very, very cross! "Oops!" said Ned. "Ned!" wailed Net. "Do something!" "I wish the sausage was off your nose," said Ned. Net's nose was completely recovered. "Now we have no wishes," said Net. "But we do have a sausage!" said Ned.

Honestly speaking, I thought this story is trifling, but I was happy :) This story is heartwarming! And this book's pictures very cute! I want you to read it!

I have some teaching classes, because I want to be an English teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a high school student. At first, I want to be a Physical Education teacher. But I think that I want to be a basketball coach as an English teacher, because it is uncommon!

I read The Baobab Tree, because its book cover makes an impression. This story is about a talking tree and some angry gods. The main character is a talking tree.
One day, the gods made a talking tree. They called it the Baobab tree. The Baobab tree talked a lot. The gods grew a forest of tall trees. The Baobab tree was fed up. The gods made trees with flowers. The Baobab tree was even more fed up. The gods got cross. "Stop moaning!" they said. Then the gods made trees that grew fruit. "I want fruit, " said the Baobab tree. "Stop!" cried the gods. They grabbed the Baobab tree and turned it upside down. His head was in the ground. He couldn't open his mouth to talk. No one has ever heard the Baobab tree say another word.
This story is based on a South African tale about a tree known as the baobab. The baobab tree looks as if its roots are in the air, so people came up with stories to explain its strange shape.

May 9th was mother's day.
I went to youme town in hikarinomori with my mother. I had a lunch at KFC. I ate "Shiodare Chiken". It is new. It is very delicious, but it stank of garlic :( ha ha

Finally, I went to "XEBIO". It sells sporting goods. I went to there after a long separation. I often went to there before because I had been playing basketball. BR 1-07:Dick Whittington

I read Dick Whittington, because the pictures were cute. ^^
The main character is the boy named Dick Whittington who lived on his own, in the country. Dick was very, very poor. So he looked for work. But no one needed help. One morning, Dick saw a farmer. Dick knew London was a big city, many miles away. "They say the streets are made of gold", said the farmer. "I'll be rich!" He thanked the farmer and set off at once. But when he arrived in London the streets weren't made of gold at all. He looked for work once more. But no one wanted help. Soon it was dark. He curled up to on the steps of a big house and fell asleep. The next morning, Dick woke to here someone shouting in his ear. "Go away!!" A woman yelled. But, "Are you alright, son?" A man asked. "Come inside." Dick had never been in such a grand house before. It was full of beautiful things. Mr. Fitzwarren is landlord. Mr. Fitzwarren gave Dick a job in his kitchen. It was hard work. But Dick was happy with his new job. After his first day's work, Dick was taken to the very top of the house. Just as he began to fall asleep, he heard a loud squeak! Many mice squeezed out of holes in the floorboards. Dick couldn't get a wink of sleep. A week later, Mr. Fitzwarren gave Dick his first ever wages. That afternoon, he visited the big city market. He bought the biggest cat from the stall and run home. "A cat will keep those noisy mice away," thought Dick. That night, the mice appeared as usual. But the cat chased the mice back into their house. Dick and his cat curled up and fell fast asleep. A few days later, Mr. Fitzwarren said, "One of my ships is going on a selling trip. If you have anything you want to sell, it can go on the ship. It sails tonight." Dick put his cat onto the cart that was going to Mr. Fitzwarren's ship.
A few days later, Mr. Fizwarren came back. "Congratulations, Dick" boomed Mr. Fizwarrren. "You're rich! The king of Barbary bought you cat. His palace was full of mice and the cat chased them off." Mr. Fizwarren handed Dick two bags bursting with gold. "Here you are."Dick used the money to buy and sell things, just like Mr. Fizwarren. He grew up to be one of the richest men in the city.

I was happy, because I like the happy end! I want to be rich like Dick!!

May 3♪

I went to downtown with my family on May 3. First, we went to Tsuruya. In there, some groups danced "hula". We watched them! Children also danced hula!! They were very cute! On other hand, adult women were attractive♡ I want to dance hula!! Next, we went to PARCO. I and my mother went to buy clothes there. I bought a one piece and a camisole.^^ They were neat and clean❤ Then, I and my mother bought matching cell phone charm of bear! I read Penguins because I like them and they are very cute. Then I like one of movie about them. Its name is Happy Feet! (Have you ever watched it?)

Penguins live in some of the coldest places on earth in a world of ice and snow. But they are on sunny beaches and on grassy islands by clear, blue seas. There are nearly twenty different kinds of them. Penguins are a kind of bird. Most birds can fly... but not them. They use their wings for swimming instead. They dart after fish, and sea creatures called krill. Once a year, they leave the sea. They travel across land to the place where they were born. When they arrive, the penguins gather in huge groups called rookeries. Rookeries are very noisy places. All the penguins are trying to find a partner. They bow and flap their flippers. They all get into penguin pairs. Then the female penguin lays an egg. The babies can't swim or feed themselves. So, penguin parents go to the sea to find food. The babies also can't eat whole food yet. They come to be handsome day by day. They become full-fledged penguins!

I can know that penguin's life! I knew almost of it for the first time. I want everyone to read it! ha ha

I have a breakfast everyday. I often eat rice and miso-soup. I have a lunch everyday. I often bring a box lunch at KGU. I often have my mother make a lunch. It is very delicious! I read The Treasure Chest, because it has a great impact on book cover!

The main characters are children who like swimming very much! One day, they went shopping. They bought fishes! They put some more fish in the tank. They put rocks on the bottom. Next to the rocks they put a ship and a little box. They said "We wish we could swim in there." They went to play in Biff's room. (Biff is one of the main characters.) Biff ran in with the MAGIC KEY! The magic began to work. It took the children into a new adventure. The magic took them underwater. So, they saw a ship under the water. And, they saw an octopus. It was sitting on a chest. They blew bubbles at the octopus. Then, the children opened up the chest and looked inside. It was a treasure chest and it was full of gold. Suddenly, a shark was coming! They ran away. The magic key took them out of the adventure. Biff said "The treasure chest was like the one in our fish tank!" The children ran to look in the fish tank. "Look, there's the treasure. How did it get there? It's magic!!!" said Biff!

This story is very interesting!!! I want everyone to read it!
